COMMERCIAL.

Dukedik—Messrs Wriglit, Stephenson, and Co report, for the week ending 12th February, 1876, as follows:—Fat Cattle—l3o head came to hand, mainly fair to good quality, but prices obtained showed a slight decline on last week’s rates. We sold 51 head on account of Messrs William Souter, Thomas Henderson, and Kobt. Elliott. Bullocks brought from £lO to £l3los, and cows from £7 16s to £11; or equal to 32s 6d per 1001 b for good quality, and 27s 6d for medium do. Fat Calves—ls yarded, which were sold at from 40s to 65s each. Fat Sheep —A moderate supply came forward, 1200 being penned, which Were all quitted at fair rates. We sold 500 merino wethers and ewes—the former at 10s, the latter at 6s 6d each. We quote prime mutton 2id per lb. Fat Lambs—2so were penned, ;■ a nd this number being beyond the requirements of the trade, prices ruled considerably lower than last " week. We sold 70 at from 4s 6d to 10s. Store Cattle—We have no transactions to report, but cattle of all descriptions are in good request. Store Sheep—The demand is good for young sheep, particularly 4 and 6-tooth oross-breds. We quote halfhreds, 4 and fl-tooth, at 9s ; do, 2-tootb, 7s 6d to 8s ; do lambs, 6s to 7s; merino wethers, 2,4, and 6tooth, 5s 8d; do do, full-mouthed, 3s to 3s 6d; do ewes, 2,4, and 6-tooth, 7s to 8s; do do, full mouthed. 2s 6d to 3s. We have sold during the week, at foregoing quotations, 6000 merino ewes, full-mouthed, 1000 merino ewes, wethers, 4,6, and 8-tooth : 1000 cross-brcds, 4 and 6-tooth. We have also sold 200 merino rams at satisfactory rates. Country Sales—On Tuesday, Bth Instant, we held a sale by auction at Inch-Clutha of land and farming stock on account of Mr James Lindsay. The farm, which contained 155 acres, and for which the bidding was spirited, was knocked down at £IBSO to Mr Peter Lawson. For the horse • atook competition was rather listless. Draughts brought from £32 to £59; light horses. £lO to £2O ; young cattle, £4lss to £5 Ss; implements, satisfactory prices. Horses—There Is no improvement to note in the demand for any class of horses. We quote first-class draughts, £6O to £6O; medium do, £35 to £45; light do, £35 to £3O; good hacks and light harness, £2O to £3O ; medium do, £l4 to £18: light and inferior, £4 to £lO. Wool—We did not hold a sale this week, but our usual one will be held on Thursday next. Sheepskins—We held our usual sale on Thursday, and disposed of a quantity at full values. Station half-breds brought from 5s 3d to 5s 9d; merinos, 4s 6d to 5s 6d; pelts, 3d to 9d each, Grain—Wheat is in good demand, and prime milling saleable at 4s 9d per bushel; medium, 4s to 4s4d; fowls’feed, 3s to3s 9d. Oats, dull of sale. Prime milling may be quoted at 2a, and feed at Is 10A per bushel.
