POST-OFFICE NOTICES.
Mails close at Chief Post Office for the following places, as under, subject to necessary alterations: — Monday, December 20. For Dunedin and Port Chalmers, per s. s. Hawea, at 11.35 a.m. ; late letters, 11.55 a.m. ; Guard’s Van, Railway Station, 12.25 p.m. train. For Akaroa and Timaru, per Wanganui, at 1L35 a.m. ; late letters, 11.55 a.m. ; .Guard’s Van, Railway Station, 12.25 p.m. train. Mails per s.s. Albion, will be despatched as under:— For Dunedin, Port Chalmers, and Australian Colonies, at 3.20 p.m. ; late letters, 3.40 p.m. ; Guard’s Van, Railway Station, 4 p.m. train. For United Kingdom and Continent of Europe, via Suez and Brindisi, India, China, and the East, at 3 p.m. ; late letters, 3.30 p.m. ; Guard’s Van, Railway Station, 4 p.m. train. For newspapers and book packets, at 2.30 p.m. For registered letters and money orders, at 2 p.m. Note—Late letters for above mails must not be posted in the pillar receiver at the Railway Station. J.
