Binal Arrangements for Services on the Anniversary —ln addition to the information which has already appeared in our columns on this subject, extracted from the current number of the New Zealand Church News, we are given to understand that, at a meeting of the committee of the Cathedral Guild, held on Tuesday evening, it was resolved that his Honor the Superintendent and his Worship the Mayor should be specially invited to be present in the marquee, to be erected within the Cathedral precincts, at the presentation of the staff and crosier, which is to take place, as before stated, at about 10.30 a.m, before the service commences. Members of the General and Diocesan Synod, and subscribers to the staff and crosier will receive no individual notice, but are requested to consider themselves invited by this unofficial notice to attend, if they so desire. The pastoral staff will be presented by Mr H. B. Gresson, as representing the laity of the diocese and the Diocesan Synod, and the crosier by the Very Eev the Dean, as representing the clergy and the General Synod. The subscription list to the presentation fund is not yet closed, and those who have not hitherto been asked to join in this testimonial to their Bishop, are invited to send their contributions, not exceeding one guinea for each person, to Mr A P. N, Blakiston, treasurer of the fund ; Mr A. W. Bennett, secretary of the Cathedral Guild ; Mr H. B, Gresson, Mr P. Haumer, Mr B. W. Mountfort, or the Dean of Christchurch. Further subscriptions are wanted to make the offering as complete as possible. It should not be forgotten that the services of the day will commence with a choral celebration of the Holy Communion at the pro-Cathedral Church, St Michael and All Angels, at 8 a.m. The main service of the day, that within the Cathedral walls, is to be regarded chiefly as a solemn offering of praise and thanksgiving on the attainment of the province to the age of a quarter of a century, and for the large measure of temporal and spiritual prosperity hitherto vouchsafed to it, but a kindred, though secondary, object of it is to mark the opening of the handsome western doorway, which, as is generally known, is the special work of the Cathedral Guild ; and it is to be hoped not only that the funds of this body, which has done so much to promote an intelligent interest in the building of the Cathedral, will be largely increased by the offertories of the day, but that the number of itsotdinary members will be largely increased, and that some other special" part of the structure will soon be taken in hand, and carried out by means of the periodical contributions of the members of the Guild.

Anteros. — The pedigree of this horse, as published in our issue of yesterday, is not correct. It should read thus—Anteros, by Loiterer out of Adrasta, by Orlando out of Torment, by Alarm (Torment was the dam of Tormentor, winner of the Oaks). The mistake in the pedigree arose from a confusion of the names Adrasta and Adrastia, the latter mare being bred in the manner we stated yesterday.
