♦ CHRISTCHURCH. Friday, November 12. (Before G. L. Mellish, Esq, R.M.) Illegally on Premises. —James Ryan charged with being illegally on the premises of A. McTaggart was discharged, as the prosecutor did not appear when called. Assault. —John Brooks was charged on summons with assaulting his wife Mary Brooks. From the evidence of complainant, it seemed that she was in a great measure to blame, and the case was diseased.
