POST-OFFICE NOTICES.

Mails close at Chief Post Office for the following places, as under, subject to necessary alterations: — This Day, September 25. Mails per Ladybird will close as under : For United Kingdom via San Francisco, Continent of Europe, America, Sandwich Islands, &c, at 9 p.m. For Northern ports of New Zealand, at 9 p.m. Registered letters and money orders, at 5 p.m. Newspaper box will close at 8 p.m. Sunday, September 26. Supplementary English mails, via San Francisco, at 8.30 a.m. Monday, September 27. For Wellington, New Zealand, and N.S. W, per Easby at 8 a. m. Correspondence must be addressed per Easby. Mails per Albion will close as under : For United Kingdom, via Southampton and Brindisi, at 3.20 p.m.; late letters, 3.40 p.m. For Continent of Europe, India, China, and the East, at 3.20 p.m. ; late letters, 3.40 p.m. For Australian colonies, Dunedin, Port Chalmers, and the Bluff, at 3.20 p.m. ; late letters, 3.40 p.m. Registered letters and money orders, at 2 p.m. Late letters must be posted in the guard's van at the railway station before 4 p.m. For Northern Ports of New Zealand, Australian Colonies, &c, &c, per Ringarooma, at 3.25 p.m. ; late letters, 3.45 p.m., and railway station, 4 p.m. Note—Should the Ringarooma sail at her advertised time, supplementary mails for the United Kingdom via San Francisco, the Sandwich Islands, &c, &c, will be despatched.
