The barque Hopeful sailed from Newcastle for Lyltelton, coal laden, on June 4th, therefore now The ship Helga, that arrived at Melbourne, from Frederickstadt on May 3lst, reports speaking the ship Peacemaker, twenty days out, from Newport, for Otago, on March 22nd, in lat I9deg N. She reported all well. " , The barque Medora, Captain Anderson, sailed from Newcastle on the 3rd of June, with a S.E. wind which lasted till in the latitude of Lord Howe's Island; thence E.N.E. to N.E. breezes up to making Solander Island on the llth instant. Passed between the Snares and Stewart's Island on the 13th: E. winds prevailed to the Nuggets; light airs and calms with thick weather to Banks Peninsula, The Heads were made at 2 a.m. yesterday morning, and the vessel ran up the harbor, and anchored at 4 p.m. The three-masted schooner Fairlie, Captain Norris, which arrived in harbor last Wednesday, left Launceston on May 30th; experienced W. to North winds, which lasted till sighting the Solander, on June 6th ; thence light variable winds and calms. Passed the Bluil on Wednesday, June 9th, and Dunedin heads on June the 12th; sighted Godley heads at noon, on Wednesday, June 16th, and anchored inside the heads at 11 p.m.; weighed anchor at 10 a.m. on Thursday, and arrived as above. The schooner was berthed at No 3 Wharf yesterday, to discharge, after which she will load produce for Auckland. The s s. Omeo, Captain Calder, arrived in harbor yesterday at 4.30 p.m. from Melbourne, via Bluff and Dunedin. She left Melbourne at 2.30 p.m. on the 10th; passed through the heads at 6.30 p.m.; Swan Island, 7 p.m. on the llth ; Solanders, at 4.30 a m on the 16th. Arrived at Bluff at 11 a.m. same day had'N. and N.E. winds, and afterwards easterly winds with rain and thick weather; left BlmT at 4.30 p.m. on the lGth; arrived at Port Chalmers at 7.30 a.m. 17th; left again same night; Had fair winds. Arrived as above. She brings 160 tons of cargo for this port. The ketch Sarah and Mary, Captain Grubb, arrived in harbor yesterday at 11,30 a.m. from Hokitlka The captain reports that be left that port on Thursday, June 10th, at 2 p.m, and was towed out by the s.s. Lioness ; cleared the bar at 2.30 p.m, experienced light easterly winds till 9 p.m. on June llth, when she passed Greymouth; Irom thence heavy north-east gale, had to heave-to for nineteen hours; on June 12th the wind veered round to the north-west, with heavy rain ; made Kocks Point on Sunday, June 13th, at 4 p.m, passed Cape Farewell at 9.30 a.m. on Monday last, ana Stephen's Island at 9.30 p.m; sighted Mana light at 10 p.m. game day, passed Cape Campbell at 8.30 a.m. on June 15th ; sighted.three topsail schooners and a barque off Waipara Point, at 4 p.m. the same day, bound North; at 6 pm. the wind shifted to the S S.W, with drizzling rain, which lasted till Thursday, at 8 am, when a fresh breeze from the westward sprang up; sighted Godley Heads at 5 p m, from thence light south-west till 10 p.m, thence light easterly wind till arrival.
