ROAD BOARDS.

MA.NDEVILLB AND RANGIORA. A special meeting of this Board was held yesterday, at which there were present—Mr John C. Boys (chairman), Messrs Blackett Bramley, and Parsons. It was resolved—- “ That a deputation should wait on the Government, to represent to them the necessity of supporting the Drainage Board, in the action taken by Mr Threlkeld against that Board.”' Tenders were opened for shingling a portion of the Mount Thomas road, and one accepted. The clerk was instructed to ascertain from the Secretary for Public Works when it would be convenient for the Government to receive the deputation; also, to acknowledge the receipt of a letter from the Secretary for Public Works re the road through the Maori Run; and to pay Vincent a portion of his contract money. The Board then adjourned.
