Mails close at Chief Post Office for the following places, as under, subject to necessary alterations: — Wednesday, May 12. For Otago, per Beautiful Star, at noon. Late letters Christchurch Railway Station at 12.25 noon. For Otago, per Phoebe. Hour of closing in future notice. Thuesday, May 13. For Northern Provinces of New Zealand, per Wellington. Hour of closing in future notice. Wellington, Nelson, and Australian colonies, per Tararua. Hour of closing in future notice. Daily, at 5.30 a.m. Otago, Waimate, Oamaru, Timaru, Waitaki. N.B. —Public attention is invited to several alterations in the dispatch of local mails. For particulars see notice which is posted above the mail notices at the Chief Post Office, Christchurch. IJ.
