Mails close at Chief Post Office for the following places, as under, subject to necessary alterations: — Wednesday, May 12. For Otago, per Phoebe. Hour of closing future notice. For Otago, per Beautiful Star, noon. Thursday, May 13. For Northern Provinces, per Wellington. Hour of closing future notice. Daily, at 5.30 a.m. Otago, Waimate, Oamaru, Timaru, Waitaki. N. B. —Public attention is invited to several alterations in the dispatch of local mails. For particulars see notice which is posted above the mail notices at the Chief Post Office, Christclmrch. J. J. FITZGIBBON, Chief Postmaster.
