LYTTELTON. M6NDAY, FEBRUARY 8. (Before Wm. Donald, Esq, 8.M.) drunkenness. Francis Langdon, arrested by Sergeant* Major O'Grady, charged with this offence, was fined 10s, which was paid. REFUSAL OP DUTY. Thomas Eyre, William Davis, Peter Anderson, and John Grant, all able seamen, belonging to the brig Albion, were brought up charged by Captain Wilson with this offence. From the evidence it appeared that the accused had refused to turn to, as they were of opinion that the ship was short handed. The Bench, after seeing the ship's articles, ordered the accused on board. DESERTION. Richard Roberts and Robert Archer, seamen belonging to the ship Lady Jocelyn, were brought up charged with this offence. Sergeant Maguire proved the arrest of the two prisoners at Lake Ellesmere on Sunday morning. The prisoners, who had nothing to say, were sentenced to one month's imprisonment wfth hard labour. DRUNK AND INCAPABLE. John Roberts, charged with this offenoe (on remand from Saturday) was brought up and dismissed with a caution.
