POST OFFICE NOTICES.
Mails close at Chief Post Office for the following places, as under, subject to necessary alterations:— For Dunedin, per Beautiful Star, on or about December 21st, at 11.30 a.m. For Northern Provinces of Ncav Zealand, Fiji, Sandwich Islands, United States, South, Central, and British America, West Indies, United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, &c, via San Francisco, per Phoebe, on Monday, December 21st, at 2 p.m. Monday Orders Registered Letters and Newspapers at 12 noon. Late letters, with the usual fee may be posted until 2.45. For Dunedin, Bluff, Australian Colonies, India, China, Mediterranean Ports, Continent of Europe and the United Kingdom, via Suez (for specially addressed letters only) per s.s Tararua on Monday, December 21st at 11 a.m. Late letters with the usual fee until 11.55 a.m.
