An important change is about to be made in the dress of the British volunteers. It is notified that any application from corps or battalions to chan / < ; o ci lour of their uniform to scarlet will b. • . .. ./.ably received ” at the War-office. At the same time, no corps will bo obliged to change the color of its uniform except where the corps forming an administrative regiment arc not dressed alike. Where this is the case, the commanding officer will have to choose one pattern, which, after approval by the War-office, must be conformed to before April, 1879. Caution to Bald-headed Men.—Josh Billings has an entirely bald head ; and it is related of him that once, when he was at the Zoological Gardens in Paris, the day being warm, he lay down upon one of the benches, and went to sleep.
