Mails close at Chief Post Office for the following places, as under, subject to necessary alterations: — For Dunedin and Port Chalmers, per Bruce, on Tuesday, 17th November, at 11.30 a.m. For Dunedin and Port Chalmers, per Star of the South, on Tuesday, 17th November, at 11.30 a.m. For Northern Provinces of New Zealand, Fiji, Sandwich Islands, United States, South, Central, and British America, West Indies, United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, &c, via San Francisco, per s.s. Ladybird, on Wednesday, November 18th, at 2 p.m. Newspapers at 1 p.m. Late letters, with the usual fee, may be posted until 2.35 p.m. Money orders may be procured, and letters registered until 12 noon.
