SPORTING.

The attention of racehorse owners is drawn to the fact that to-morrow (Saturday, 31st October) is the day of general entry for the ensuing Metropolitan Meeting. All entries must be in the hands of the secretary to the Canterbury Jockey Club, at Warner's Commercial Hotel, before 8 p.m. to-morrow night. In addition to this, intending nominators for the Dunedin Cup must remember that their entries, with two sovs each, must be lodged with the secretary of the Dunedin Jockey Club, at the Empire Hotel, Dunedin, before 8 p.m. to-morrow. The acceptances for the Dunedin Cup are due on Thursday, January 21st, 1875.
