Mails close at Chief Post Office for the following places, as under, subject to necessary alterations: — For the Australian colonies, India, China, Mediterranean ports, Continent of Europe, United States, Canada, South America, and United Kingdom, via Suez, per s.s. Tararua, on Monday, 28th September, at 11 a.m. Newspapers, at 11 a.m.; late letters may be posted with the usual fee till 11.55 a.m. Money orders and registered letters this day at 6 p.m. For Otago and Southland, per Tararua, on Monday, 28th September, at 11 a.m. For Wellington, Nelson, and the Australian colonies, per Albion, on Tuesday, 29th instant, at 11.15 a.m. For Dunedin direct, per Taranaki, on Tuesday, 29th instant, at 11,30 a.m. For Akaora, Timaru, and Port Chalmers, per s.s. Bruce, on or about Tuesday, 29th, at 11.80 a.m.
