The following report of the passage has been kindly furnished ns by Mr R. B. Pringle, to whom we are indebted for files of American papers. The s.s. Macgregor arrived at Honolulu from Kandavu on the 29th July. Experienced strong N. and N.E. winds, with heavy beam sea, throughout the passage. Passed equator 3rd September, in 169.49 W.; passed Phomia Island on the 4th; sighted Howe Islands on the 7th; passed Direction Island on the Bth. Moderate trades and fine pleasant weather throughout the passage. Arrived at Kandavau at 8 a;m. on the loth; leit at noon; strong S.W. winds, arriving as above. S.W. winds and squally weather were experienced on the passage down. Passed a fore-and-aft schooner oft - Cape Brett on Monday evening, apparently bound to Auckland.
