SALE OF THE WARESLEY STUD.

This important stud was offered for sale by Messrs Tattersall on July 18th. The weather was remarkably fine, and a large number of English and Continental purchasers were present. The sale, taken as a whole, was an exceedingly good one. The yearlings realized some very fair prices, the Aline colt fetching 860 guineas, the Chamade filly 600 guineas, and the Summer's Eve colt 430 guineas. Of the brood mares Summer's Eve and Aline made respectively 1,000 guineas and 970 guineas. Two stallions only were put up, Liddington being purchased by Mr Blenkiron for 100 guineas, while Blinkhoolie, who was one of the chief attractions of the sale, failed to find a purchaser willing enough to make any advance over 2,900 guineas, consequently the horse was bought in at that price.
