Mr Deßourbel reports the share market as follows : Buyers National Insurance, 2i)s ; National Bank, 70s; South British, 525; Shipping Company, 18s ; Standard Insurance, lis. Sellers-Nalional Insurance, 30s; National Bank, 7ls; South British, 535; Shipping Company, 20s; Standard Insurance, 12s.

Mr H. K Alport reports having held the following sales by auction at Akaroa .—On Wednesday last, at Mr Armstrong's sale rooms, near the Jetty, Akaroa —Sold on account Mr Morey, a parcel of drapery, clothing, hosiery, &c. The attendance was fair, and satisfactory prices were obtained. On Thursday, at Barker's (lately Shadbolt's) Travellers' Rest Hotel, Head of the Bay, Akaroa—Sold 12:! head of mixed cattle, as under:—For Mr Marshall, Pigeon Bay, 46 head good dairy cows, heifers, and steers, at, for cows, from £2 12s 6d to £7 10s per head ; heifers, at from £2 15s to £7; steers, at from £3 2s 6d to £i. For Mr Goodwin, 44 head superior fat and store steers, cows, and heifers, as under: -Fat cows, Jfc!) 5s per head; 3-year-old nearly fat bullocks, £6 to £7 ss; superior heifers, £4 10s to £5 ss. For Mr Gordon, Mr Haughton, and others, dairy cows, £i 5s lo £7 ; heifers, JL'.'i 17s (id to £i 2s (id ; fat cattle, £h 10s. The sheep advertised were not sent, in consequence of difficulty in drafting, being mixed with ewes lambing down. No horses were sold at auction, the reserve prices being above value.
