Mails close at Chief Post Office for the following places, as under, subject to necessary alterations : For Northern Provinces of New Zealand, Fiji. Sandwich Islands, United States, South, Central, and British America, West Indies, United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, Ac., Ac., via San Francisco, per s.s. Cyphrenes, on Thursday, July 30th, at 11 a.m. Late letters with usual fee will be received until 11.45 a.m. Newspapers will be received until 10.30 a.m, July 30th. Money orders and registered letters till Wednesday, July 29th, at 5 p.m. For Timaru and Dunedin, per p.s. Comerang, on Thursday, July 30th, at 11.30 a.m. J. J. FitzGiebon, Chief Postmaster.
