Thirtynine best quality top coats, thirty-nine Inverness capes, thirty-n me best Paris belltoppers, thiriy-nine common ditto. Underclothing to be supplied by the Government, thirty-nine dozen pairs of white kid gloves, thiroy-oine dozen of mufflers, thirty-nine dozen best she nj, po’ u, and moselle, tirrtynine dozen boxes of cigars, and thirty-id lie dozen gal lons of Ward’s beer or Kaiapoi (according to taste and sample),thirty-nine dozen of c l ay pipes, thirty-nine pounds of tobacco, thirty-nine railway carriages, to be fitted up with bedsteads and sofas, with toilettables, gas, and hot-water bottles, brushes, and cupboards, &c., and thirty-nine dozen of ra ; lway free passes, edged with gold, and only transferable when an opportunity offers. Contractor to take old clothing in exchange, in b’ea of discount, for cash. The lowest tender will not necessarily be accepted. Tenders to be sent in by the 31st February. Y. E. THE following extract from the Regulations for the Registration of Life Policies is published for general information 1. Every policy-holder, who is such in respect of a policy granted or entered into in New Zealand by a Company who shall have made a deposit cf securities under the Life Assurance Companies Act, 1873, may, if the policy or contract has been made before the commencement of the said Act, register such policy with the Public Trustee within twelve months after the commencement of the said Act, but not after ; and if made after the commencement of the said Act, then within six months after the making thereof. (N.B. —The Ist of November, 1873, is fixed as the commencement of the Act.) 2. The person intending to register a policy shall either deliver the same to the Public Trustee at his office in Wellington, or may deliver the same to an agent; and every such pefson shall make application to register such policy in a form which can be wfiftified at any Post Office in the colony at 3 The 'Psii? r ders are issued, keep a book for theT«fe» shall “ ak( v and in which the particulars policies, shall be recorded. ~ 4, There shall be paid to the Public Trustee by the policy-holder a fee of five shillings on the registration thereof. 5.
