•TH E N'A i; CJd.T V 1 > UGH ESS’ ’, AND “WHAT NEXT.” Two British film productions, “The Naughty Duchess” from the novel “Indiscretions of a Duchess”, and “What Next” featuring njalter Fordo, English comedian are attractions ac to-days' matinee at the Majestic, and again to-night. Mischievous, provocative, tantalising, adorable—th at's Eve Southern in “The Naughty Duchess”, which provides her with a role unlike anything she has ever done before, yet as cleverly acted and sincerely portrayed as all her other characterisations. “The Naughty Duchess” is the principal attraction, with H. 15. Whiner as the Duke whose yes to the request of a strange young woman on a French train starts a delightful series of incidents. The lady, named Hortense, steps into the Duke’s compartment and asks him to be kind enough to let her pose as his wife for only five minutes. The Duke assents, and when two detectives lay hands on Horten so he says, “Madame is rny wife” —and trouble starts. “What Next-'” the second of Walter Horde’s (5-reel comedies for Nettlefold, is one of the most original and laughable pictures seen do the screen.
