C OMING M ['SK A L ATTRACTIONS. A notable, event in the theatrical .history of Gisborne will be the presentation here by J. C. William, son Ltd. of four world-famed musical p'ays. The season is for seven jiighr and a matinee, and will be inaugurated at the Opera House next Tuesday night, the ISth inst. with "Tlm- Desert Song” which will bo presented for two nights, giving way on the. Thursday and Friday to •‘Lila?. Time,’’ Saturday “The Ma c of the Mountains’’ will bo staged and. on the following Monday and Tuesdav the season will be concluded with ‘'The Student Prince.” There will be a matinee of the “Maid of the Mountains’’ on Saturday. ft is rarely that four such world-famed musical plays are presented during such a brief season, and «i real treat awaits lovers of this class of entertainment. It is a,n ambitious undertaking to bring such a big and expensive company to Gisborne, and the transport of so large a company, with its scenery and effects for four plays is necessarily a most expensive undertaking, hnt the enterprise of the J. C. 'Williamson firm should be well rewarded. The box plans will he opened at Cbrisp's next Friday morning for the whole seven nights.
