The camp is all smiles, with hammering and sawing proceeding all over the place, getting everything in readiness for the arrival of the City of New York on Wednesday. Getting the material out to the ship will be hard work, because of the broken condition of the bay ice. There are pressure ridges and cracks all over it, and it is difficult sometimes to prevent valuable things sliding into the water. We are in tents now. so that everythng can he moved with the least possible delay. The southerly blizzard died last night, and now it is blowing from the east, ft will be wonderful to see the old ship again and get- our mail.
