PAULS CHAMPIONSHIP CBN THE TOURNAMENT TE EARAKA WINS To Earaka- scored a very popular victory in the pairs championship tournament of the Gisborne centre, played on the Poverty Bay green yesterday. Eight clubs were repress entod and the play reached a high standard, with several l very close finishes, notably the To Karaka-Pover-ty Bay game in the semi-finals, when the score was .17 all in the penultimate head, the country team then notching a point on the .final head and going on to defeat Gisborne after another close match, in tile final.
