AUSTRALASIAN RECORD FOR 1500 METRES.
MELBOURNE, Jan. 31. At the amateur inter-club athletic meeting, W. Whyte, of Melbourne Harriers, broke the Australian and New Zealand record for 1500 metres, covering the distance in 4min. 11 1-10 secs. ■
