COMPULSORY FOR, MEN AND WOMEN IN SPAIN

A Government decree is published ordering 'all Spaniards, men ancl women. to undergo physical training. Only persons certified unfit by a doctor Will Be excused. Every citizen will be furnished with a card indicating his or her physical . development which will be examined every ten dare-.
The order aims not only at an improvement in and the conservation of public health, but at insuring that eveiy Wizen shall be capable, of taking part in the defence of the country.
