POVERTY BAY TROTS. Considerable interest is bein" evinced in the anual meeting of the Poverty Bay Trotting Club to be held oil the Park racecourse on Saturday next. Very satisfactory acceptances have been received, and large helds should be seen out in every lace. 1 atrons of the sport will see many new horses on the track, as representatives, of .stables in .Napier, Hastings, Ashburton, Hawera, Blen'hemi, Palmerston North and Auckland will be present. The meeting will be a notable one, not only for the number of horses» engaged' but also for the quality, several of the horses holding a very high* reputation in the trotting world. ..Visiting enthusiasts have notified their intention of attending the meeting, particularly followers of the snort ■in Hawke’s Bay. The following re-handicaps have been declared:—i Born Memorial Handicap.—Great Change 108yds, Commander Bingen 96yds. Gup.—Mary Audubon 48yds. President’s Handicap.—Peter Grattou 60yds. Dominion Handicap.—Commander Bingen 96yds. Waikanae Handicap.—Peter Gratton 60yds. Stewards’ Handicap.—Peter Glutton 36yds., Mary Audobon 108yds.
