A STRANGE DISEASE

FLAYS HAVOC IN SUVA. DROPSY-LIKE SYMPTOMS. AUCKLAND, Jan. 25. A report from Suva states a strange epidemic has appeared amongst the Indians in Suva and at many country centres. The patients swell with all signs of acute dropsy. Half a dozen or more have died. The disease gradually affects, the heart. The chief medical officer says the cause is unknown, but impure food is suspected. There are over sixty eases in Suva and over seventy at Rewa, and others in various districts.— UP. A. - :• ?
