WOMEN FOOLED
MARRIED AND ROBBED. MELBOURNE. Oct! 23. A provisional warrant has been issued for the. arrest of a man who a few hours after marriage borrowed £2O from ids wife and disappeared. The police allege that lie is wanted for previous wife desertions in New South Wales, South Australia and Victoria. In the last-named ease, he disappeared after getting his wife’s money, in another ease he secured a woman’s money under promise of marriage, a promise which he failed to keep. The man is described as an Englishman, well educated, fluent, affable, and an ardent Churchman. —U.P.A.
