A SETTLEMENT IN SIGHT. CPKESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) WELLINGTON, July 23 It is stated that a settlement of the Pateena trouble is m sight. the Union Company.’s offer of £l2 for the run across to Sydney (with a fiee 10turii passage) for firemen and greasers and £lO for trimmers and seamen has been accented by the stokehold men, but the seamen have not yet had an opportunity to say if they are willuicr to go on those terms. It is anticipated that no further difficulty will arise, however, and that the vessel will get away to-morrow.
