IN BANKRUPTCY.
ESTATE OF VICTOR FIORI. The following statement has been •filed with the Official Assignee (Major A. G. Becro) by Victor Fiori, of Ngala pa, boardinghouse keener, who lias been adjudged bankrupt:— “J am a married man with one child, and have been carrying on business as a boardinghouse-keeper at Ngapata since March 27, 1915. The rent for the house and furniture amounts to £2 a week and board and lodging for two men. Prior to com mencing the business as a boarding house-keeper my liabilities amounted to about £62, which were incurred before August, 1914, when I was out of employment. Most of these creditors had consented to allow me time to pay thorn off. Under a. judgment-, howevei;, obtained against me for £9l lls 9d, attachment orders were made on moneys payable to me by several of my boarder's, and so far £64 3s of that amount has been satisfied in that manner. The consequence of such action was that very little money came into my hands, and as several creditors have been pressing- me 1 am forced to file a petition. I attri T . liute my bankruptcy to the pressure of creditors and in particular to the attachment orders made on behalf of the judgment by periodical payments on account. Further, the number of hoarders has decreased from 43 to about 23, and I -have incurred medical expenses owing to ttio recent illness of my wifo and death of one of my children. I regret that I have no offer to mako to my creditors.”
'Flie schedule showed the liabilities to amount to £3 10 1.9 s 9d, anil the assets £l(s (stock in boardinghouse at Ngatapa £6, books debts £4B 2s lOd estimated to produce £10), leaving a deficiency of .£29-1 19s -Id.
