WAIPIRO BAY NOTES. . (From Our Own Correspondent.) WAIPIRO uAY, July 16. The Coast is experiencing very wot weather—probably along with other parts of tho country, But wet weather means a great deal more to us than those in the town, for we have bad roads and much‘mud to contend against. For the past two mouths we have hardly had three fine days on a stretch ail’d this winter is on all sides considered similar to those of years ago/ Last Sunday was, however, an . exception to the rule as the whole day ; tho sun. shone out, a fact which brought the whole township out also, and during the afternoon the heach presented rather an animated scene or people “taking vfic sun/ The corner section where Mr G. Kirk intends erecting his new store has* now been cleared and is now ready for the carpenters’ hands. . Great interest has lately boon taken ■in a snooker tournament and various games played are detailed below: — —First Round.— D. Stevenson beat A. Tuckwcll, C. Eden beat M.
