STRIKE THREATENED~FOR THURSDAY. (United Press Association— Copyrieht.) LONDON, July 12. After a conference the South AA’ales miners’ leaders announced that they had resolved not to accept anything . less than the original proposals. They would stop the colliers on Thursday until the demands were accepted. (Received July 13, 11.10 p.m.) The miners’ delegates at Cardin frequently refused to listen to members ‘of the executive, and the delegates also refused to entertain a proposal for a ballot of the liiiueis before taking the final step. The “Daily Mail” snvs that if the miners’ executive fails to redeem its promise that there shall be no strike, tlio Government will apply the P rcn ' 1_ sions of the Munitions Act in bouth “Daily Telegraph” states that the Board of Trade, finding the coalowners less amenable than the coal merchants to reduce the price of coal, intends to introduce a Bill this week to secure a reduction.
