EXHIBITION OF FURS.

It is seldom tnat the public of Poverty Bay have tho opportunity' of seeing such a splendid collection of furs as those now on view at Mr Geo. Millars’ auction’mart, Lowe Street. This collection, which has boon brought all the way from the Empire Fur Company.’ s factory, of Toronto, Canada,, is one of the finest and best ever shown in the Dominion. This is the third visit of Mr L. McNamara, the Fur Company’s representative, and ho informs us that, had it not been for the war, his firm would have opened a factory in Christchurch, from which they would have controlled all their Australasian business. Tho collection consists of such skins as leopards, Polar bears, Radiao bears from Alaska, marmot, pony, koliusky, and Hudson bears, all of which are suitable for ladies’ or gentlemen's coats. Tho motor- rugs consist of silver badger, leopard, and raccoon skins. Beautiful fur sots of black and whito fex, mole, Fishor natural lynx skins, also two hand-made silk Persian prayer mats, etc, etc. There' is no reserve whatever upon any of tho goods, and all must be sol'd regardless of cost, as Mr McNamara does not wish to take any hack to Canada, where he goes to get the next season’s range of furs. There is a range of 40 coats and all interested should not fail to be down at the mart on Saturday atfernoon. The sale starts at' 2 p.ui.
