PETROCRAD, July 6, The Austro-German objective is,now the Ivangorod-Lublin-Neholm railway, .which connects the Russian centre in Poland with the left wing in Galicia. Tho Russians are now in a more satisfactory position. The ground behind the Germans and Austrians is marshy, and: communications aro bad. Official: Toward Lublin tho enemy, after stubborn, fighting, advanced on tho f ront between Krasnik arid Vieprz. All Germans attacks between Vieprz and tho western Bug. also between Krylow and Sokal were repulsed. We took as prisoner hundreds of the enemy.
(Received July 7, S.lO p.m.) Official: 'Hiere was most desperate lighting on Sunday evening and Monday morning between the Vistula and the western Bug sector of the Urzdcn-dow-Lyehawa front. Tho German offensive east of Krasnik was stopped by a blow on the German flank on the heights north-west of Wilkofaz, where 2000 Germans were taken prisoner and 2000 were killed.
