THE RUSSIAN REMONSTRANCE. AUSTRO-TURKISH PROTOCOL ACCEPTED. United Press Association, Copyright (Received Jan. 31, 4.15 p.m.) LONDON, Jan. 30. Britain has assented to Russia’ proposed friendly . representations to Constantinople and Sofia if the other Powers join. The essential points in the Austria n-Turkish protocol have been accepted.
A BULGARIAN NOTE. I THREAT TO WITHDRAW FROM ' NEGOTIATIONS. (Received Jan. 31, 4.15 p.m.) VIENNA, Jan. 30, A Bulgarian note asks the Powers to aid in securing a speedy recognition of Bulgaria’s independence, complains of tho dangerous tension due to Turkey’s irreconcilable attitude, and threatens to withdraw from the negotiations unless an early settlement is reached.
