Mr. Gillett., Governor of California, in a special message, warns'the Californian Legislature against anti-Japa-nese legislation.

Yielding lo Mr. Gillett’s appeal, the proposed anti-Japanese legislation has been postponed, with the view of modification. Both sides of the House requested the recall of Ibe Japanese Consul-General from " San Francisco lor asking Mr. Gillett to prevent the passing of the anti-Japa-nese measures.
