EXPLOSION IN A COAL MINE.
HESCUE PARTY ENTOMBED. United Press Association. Copyright NEW YORK, Jan. 26. An explosion in the Boswell coal mine, Somerset County, Pennsylvania, killed three men. A subsequent fall of earth entombed, a rescue party of fifty.
(Received Jan. 27, 10.40 p.m.) NEW YORK, Jan. 27. The entombed rescuers at Roswell numbered 22, not 50, and are believed to have porished. Subsequent parties were unable to penetrate owing to tho after-dam j>.
