Crossbreds are firm, and merinos have a weakening tendency. Thirteen thousand quarters of Adelaide February wheat- and 8000 quarters of A'ictorian ,-or Adelaide, to be shipped within a fortnight, have been > sold at 36s 7Ad.
AA’illiams and Kettle, Ltd., yesterday received a cablegram from their London (agents, advising them that tho wool sales continue firm, with a large attendance of buyers. Prices are being well maintained at from par to 5 per cent, above the closing rates of last sales for-lino crossbreds, and from 5 to 10 per cent, for coarse crossbreds. The American demand is active for all bright, well-condition-ed and classed crossbred. The New Zealand Loan and Alercau-Hi tile Co. Ltd., was yesterday in receipt of the following cablegram front their London office re wool:—As compared with last sale's closing rates prices are about 5 per cent. higher for lambs and scoured crossbred. Tone of market is weaker for merino shabby and wasted. Good demand lor America.
