CHRIS'!CHURCH, Jan. 26

Mr. Emil G. Snog, who in 1884 was aoooiiitcd Vice-Consul Tor Denmark and nine years later Consul for Denmark for the South Island, died today. He .arrived at Napier in 1875, wlirre be remained till 1881, when he came to Christchurch, where lie was assistant manager for Cook and Ross’ chemist’s business till 1893,when he became manager. He has acted as examiner under the Pharmacy Board, and was a prominent Mason. He was born in Copenhagen an 1848. and hold a commission as lieutenant in the Danish .army.

The death of Mr. Donald AlcLeunon, of West IMelton, which took place at an early hour this morning, removes another of the fast diminishing band of old colonists. Pneumonia, was the immediate oil use- of death. He was father of Air. Donald McLennon, agricultural editor of the “Cn.nte.rbury Times,” land of a large family, grown up.
