The Bulgarian action in mobilising a division of the army is interpreted as arising from a desire to produce an impression of firmness in order to influence the bargaining with Turkey. The latter is showing a desire to secure a rectificationt of .the frontier near Kirjali, unless Bulgaria’s financial offer is increased. SOFIA, Jan. 25.
M. Bobrikofl. Minister of Foreign Affairs, in the Sobranje stated that the Porto appeared determined to support the territorial claim by force. Turkey had reinforced the troops in the Adrianoplo districts, hence the mobilisation of a Bulgarian division was to face the menace, and was purely a preventive measure. The Sobranje approved of the Government’s action.
