The population of Austria-Hun-gary is nearly 50,000,000. More than half of this number are Austrians. In electric working of railways there is a loss of six per cent., ox more, of electricity through leakage. At a recent thanksgiving service ai; Port Isaac, Cornwall, the walls of the church were draped -with fishing nets, and lobster pots and packing-barrels occupied the window spaces.
