( MURDER AND RIOT. POLICE THE VICTIMS. V United Press Association. Copyright (Received Jan. 24, 4.30 p.m.) LONDON, Jan. 23. Two emergency men, under the protection of Constable McGoldric, were engaged'in rebuilding wails on a farm from which the tenant had been evicted, on the Marquis of Clanricardo’s estate. Both men received gunshot wounds from - assailants behind a hedge. McGoldric, pursuing them, was shot dead. Subsequently a blacksmith and two farmers were arrested on suspicion.
During the division of land at Peto;vswell the tenants quarrelled. The police intervened, and a blow fractured Sergeant Gob lan’s skull. -One arrest was made in connection with the attack.
