The second day’s racing of the Auckland’ Racing Club’s summer meeting was- held at -Ellerslie racecourse this afternoon, the weather being dull but hot, a breeze across the ground somewhat tempering the heat for the big attendance present. The racing was of -an interesting character. The -following were the results : Bowen Handicap, six furlongs: Dogger ißank, 8.8, (Buchanan) 1; -Ngapuka, 8.5, .(Sparks) 2; Hohungatahi, 7.2, (H. Price) 3.
