Thirteen passengers were killed and 30 injured in a collision on the Orleans railway. A number of trucks uncoupled from a goods train ran furiously down an incline, .and collided with a passenger train in a tunnel between Brieve .and Limoges.
The carriages soon took fire, and the tunnel became a huge oven. A number of people were burpt alive amid awful scenes. Rescue was impossible.
