BOWLING.

TURANiGANUI CLUB. A match in the A section of the handicap pairs of the Turanganui Bowling Club was played yesterday afternoon between Hay and Nasmith (scr) and R. O. Sheet and Bennett (3). The game was a very even one. On the eleventh head the scores_were 11 all. On the 19th head Nasmith was 19 to 13, but Bennett obtained 5 on the following head. Bennett obtained one on the 21st head, making the scores eve’ll. An extra head was played. With a long jack, Bennett lay 3, Nasmith with a .firm shot took the jack through and lay three himself. Bennett played an excellent shot with his last bowl and drew the shot. Nasmith, with a firm shot on Bennett’s bowl, took it out and lay two, winning by 21 to 19.
