TO BE REMOVED FROM LYTTELTON GAOL. [Press Association.] CHRISTCHURCH, Dec. 14, As soon as alterations to the Mental Hospital are completed, Lionel Terry will be removed there from Lytt'elton gaol. Lionel Terry, who was convicted of having .shot an old Chinaman in Haining Street, Wellington, and was saved from the gallows by being pronounced insane, lias given an immense amount of trouble to the authorities <luring his detention. He escaped on various occasions from the mental hospitals at Sunnyside, near Christchurch, and Seacliff, near Dunedin, and was lodged for, greater security in Lyttelton gaol, part of the prison hospital, which whs gazetted as an asylum for the purpose. He has been unable to escape from there, but has made more than one attempt to 'do so. He set fire to tlic contents of his room on two or three occasions. His 'latest escapade was to distui-b tho quiet of the. gaoi' and the surrounding neighborhood by long continued yelling at night. ..
