The latest indications are that Austria is preparing to resume negotiations with Turkey, and to rely on the cessation of the boycott after the of--fer of an indemnity has been formulated.

The “Pester Lloyd” states that the Austrian reply to the Russian note in no wise excludes the continuation of negotiations relating to a conference. The “Daily Telegraph?’ states that it is reported'" that Turkey demands six million pounds indemnity, and that Baron Aerenthal is only willing to pay £240,000.
