By the -s.s. Kaiapoi to-morrow the first* consignment of Westpqrt-Stoek-ton screened coal is being shipped for Lyttelton. In appearance it is similar to the best Coalbvookdalo The mine is now in full working order producing coal freely, and with orders well ahead of supply.
DENNISTON MINERS’ UNION
At Denniston to-night, the MuiorUnion held >a re-election of president owing to somo irregularities at the election held recently. Tho ro?ult v of the voting was: Clarence Hawker 105, John Foster 99; majority for Hawkor, 9G.
