GISBORNE ROWING CLUB
Two heats for the trophies presented to the Gisborne Rowing Club for four-oar crews were rowed on the Wriimata river (last evening, when Grinlinton’s crew beat Bailey’s crew rather easily, -and H. M. Buflett’s crew beat B. Bright’s crew by a length. POVERTY BAY ROWING CLUB. The first of the semi-finals of the double sculls for Mr. C. Morse’s trophy were rowed last evening, when C. Somervell and W. Fitzgerald (Ssec) beat R. McGuffie and P. Fischba-dh by two lengths, -after a good race. This evening H, Holschier and B. Karton will meet C. Clark and M. - Sceats, and the final will be rowed to-morrow evening.
